Sergeant Lidor Mualem, the eldest son of Smadar and Doron, and the brother of Nofar and Mai, was born and raised in Beit Dagan. A smiling child who lit up every room.
In his early years, Lidor attended the “Ahuva” kindergarten and the “Sadot” elementary school in Beit Dagan. In middle school, he moved to the Mikveh Israel School in Holon. Thanks to his good nature, Lidor was well-liked by everyone around him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always surrounded by friends, loving and loved in return. As he grew tall and broad-shouldered, those close to him affectionately called him “Dubi.”
Lidor had a unique and extraordinary bond with his family. He respected his parents, was deeply connected to them, and loved them with all his heart. He used to share personal things with his mother and confide in her. With his father, who was very proud of him, he shared a passion for soccer, especially for the Maccabi Tel Aviv team. The two often went to games together, and his father even arranged for him to meet some of his favorite players, including Avi Nimni, the Maccabi Tel Aviv star whom Lidor admired.
He also had a rare and special connection with his two sisters, whom he loved dearly. His sister Nofar was born just ten months after him, and many thought they were twins. They were not only devoted siblings but also very close friends, spending a great deal of time together. With Mai, his younger sister who was five and a half years his junior, Lidor was especially attentive. When she was little, he would pick her up from kindergarten. As she grew older, he would advise her and speak with her on the phone, even during his army service.
After finishing high school, before his enlistment, Lidor worked at the “Super Super” grocery store in Beit Dagan, at the butcher’s counter. He was an outstanding and dedicated worker. Generous by nature, he would give customers his personal phone number. They would call him even when he was not at work, and he always made sure to help them and answer kindly.
Around that time, Lidor met his girlfriend and great love, Dorin, and the two became inseparable.
In July 2011, Lidor enlisted in the IDF in the Logistics Corps. He completed a heavy-truck driver’s course at Bahad 6 successfully. He was assigned to the Yahalom Unit as an administrative driver. Later, after demonstrating professionalism, responsibility, and dedication, he was placed as the administrative driver for the Samur unit.
On July 5, 2012, Lidor fell during his service after an illness. He was 19 years old. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Rishon LeZion. Lidor’s friends have remained close with his family, whom they fondly call: “Abba Dubi, Ima Dubi, Sister Nofar Dubi, and Brother Mai Dubi.”
May his memory be blessed.

The pages of the space of our heroic and beloved friends were written with reverence, out of a desire to perpetuate their memory and preserve their legacy.
