Born on 12/02/1961 on Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek.

Drafted to the Israeli Naval Commando Unit Shayetet 13 and later transferred to the Combat Engineering Corps.  He requested assignment to the maritime section of the corps (later to become Engineering Reconnaissance Sayeret Yael) where he was given a citation for excellence in the field of breaching maritime obstacles.

Dror was killed in a maritime breaching exercise in the Jordan River on 08/04/1981.

Buried in Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek aged 20.

Staff Sergeant Dror is survived by his parents, sister and three brothers.
